Volare joined the aviation community at London Oxford Airport on Thursday 8th October, as headline sponsors for ‘Pulling a Plane for a Purpose’, an event bringing the industry together in support of The King’s Trust and their work helping young people build brighter futures.
Bringing the Industry Together
Organised by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), in collaboration with London Oxford Airport, Unifi and other industry partners, the event challenged teams to pull our Bombardier Global 6000 across the airport apron, combining teamwork and friendly competition in support of a worthwhile cause.
Volare took on the challenge with a team of colleagues, working together to pull our latest fleet addition along the 60-metre course. Beyond the physical challenge itself, the event provided an opportunity to connect with others across the aviation industry and demonstrate what can be achieved when people come together behind a shared purpose.
Showcasing Career Pathways into Aviation
Alongside the challenge, we supported the wider event with an exhibition stand featuring one of our EC155 helicopters, with attendees given the opportunity to learn more about the aircraft and the breadth of opportunities available across the aviation industry and within Volare.
Our Chief Operating Officer, Alistair Riches, also joined the panel discussion, sharing his industry expertise and insights into career pathways within aviation. His contribution helped highlight the range of skills, experience and opportunities that shape careers across the sector, inspiring the next generation to explore a future in aviation.

The event raised awareness and £xxx in support for The King’s Trust, who work to help young people develop the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to build their futures.
